Transitional Justice. This was my first 300 level seminar in college and I was absolutely fascinated by the topic. I loved the way the course was structured with a significant focus on discussion, how small it was so I got to know everyone really well, and how the professor made the class challenging but so engaging at the same time.
Mountain day. I love the crisp fall air, the break from classes, the aspect of surprise, and of course, the ice cream :)
The community! I was not expecting such a vibrant, passionate, caring, and intentional community when I decided to visit Mount Holyoke for the first time. But simply spending an afternoon on campus wowed me and made me so excited to be a learner and community member in an environment like Mount Holyoke. I also was very drawn to the school because of the gender diverse historically women's college experience, and I knew I wanted to try and feel what it is like to be in an environment like that.
Be open to things you didn't originally think you would want or like! I ended up picking and loving a school (Mount Holyoke) that is so different than what I first thought I wanted when I started my college search process. Finding the right school for you is a process and one that evolves in ways you might not expect, be open to that evolution!
