Environmental Science with Prof Ballantine! I learned so many hands-on field skills and made some great memories with my fellow students collecting data in the streams, forests, and farms in the communities surrounding Mount Holyoke. The opportunity to build research skills and connect with local partners on issues surrounding climate change and sustainability was such a positive experience. I loved it enough that I came back for a second year as a TA!
If you can, schedule an interview at your prospective colleges. Don't just use it as an opportunity to be interviewed by the school, use it as an opportunity to interview the school! Interviews give you the opportunity to ask all your important questions, and get better feel for the community.
Mountain Day! I love any opportunity to take a break from classes to spend time in nature with my friends and community.
The admissions process felt friendly, student-centered, and authentic. I never felt the need to "sell" myself or fit myself into a box. I knew, coming into MHC, that I would welcomed and valued as my whole and authentic self.
