My advice to prospective students is, even if you are positive you know what you want to major in, remember to explore other types of classes too! You never know what subjects you might fall in love with by surprise.

My favorite MHC tradition is...

My favorite MHC tradition is Dirty Dancing. It was my first time getting together with my whole class year after COVID, and the energy and community that I immediately felt was incredible. I will never forget all of us screaming "Baby's going to Mount Holyoke in the fall" together.

My favorite class is...

My favorite class is The Earth's Surface, which is a class about geomorphology, aka how the features on the surface of the Earth formed! I loved learning about the geology of the Connecticut River Valley (there used to be a massive lake covering it!) and going out into the field to see what we talked about in class.

I chose Mount Holyoke College because...

I chose Mount Holyoke College because of the strength and support of the community. I felt like it was a place where I could grow as a student and as a person, and where I could build a strong base of knowledge that would help me further my career.
