The Students of Color Committee under the Student Government Association hosts an annual Trailblazers of Color Leadership Conference and being apart of the committee to prepare for it has broadened my horizon to all the leaders of the world and how can become a leader myself. It is an amazing opportunity to connect with role models and network!
Find a place that feels better than home! Truly look into the places you are applying and try to gain a thorough perspective of what it is going to be like when you get there.
Introduction to Gender Studies, Korean, and Introduction to Asian American Literature. It's difficult to choose just one because I value them each for different reasons! Intro to Gender Studies put names to concepts I valued but never had the chance to learn abou. I've always wanted learn Korean and Professor Park made learning fun and immersive; I appreciate her and everything she does for the Korean Program. Intro to Asian American Lit gave offered me a new perspective to the Asian American community and history that I learned so little about in my education journey.
When visiting as a prospective student, I felt like a Mount Holyoke student! I found my community and home in just three day and knew that Mount Holyoke was going to be my top choice. The community is super supportive no matter who you are and because the campus is so student driven, students aren't afraid to speak up.
