My favorite MHC tradition is...

O101! I have now been a first year experiencing it for the first time, a sophomore in the crowd, and an OL involved in it, and all three have been ridiculously fun. I cannot spoil it, though ;)

I chose Mount Holyoke College because...

I knew I wanted to go to a small liberal arts college for the student-faculty ratio and academic opportunities, and I chose Mount Holyoke because of its strong academics and specific classes I was interested in. Mount Holyoke's encouragement of academic exploration--being able to double major and still take different classes--was also an important factor. I came during admitted students day and absolutely fell in love with the gorgeous campus. The fantastic equestrian center was definitely also a big factor!

My favorite class is...

Turtle Island Stories & Thought with Professor Dawson, which focused on Indigenous history, storytelling, and methodologies. I truly gained so much from the robust class discussions and transformed the way I understand the world I live in and learn from, in and out of a classroom. At the end of the semester, we had the opportunity to each sew a quilt square representing something we took from the class, and I helped to piece the finished class quilt together. It was definitely my favorite project I've ever done for a class so far!

My advice to prospective students is...

Connect with current students and never be afraid to ask questions--Mount Holyoke fosters a community which is so welcoming and practically always willing to answer your questions (we've all been there). Curiosity is such a crucial skill, especially during the college application process.

I'm passionate about...

Fairytales Storytelling WWI Horses! Lucy Maud Montgomery Gaming & esports Piano

I'm involved with...
